How does the process work?

After selecting “inquire now” within any of our services, you’ll be directed to a questionnaire. Within 72 hours of submitting the questionnaire, you’ll receive an email from info@distinctiontravel.org to schedule a 30 minute virtual meeting within 1 business week. The meeting will be to acquaint ourselves with your tastes and desires. Should you choose to hire us, we will collect the nonrefundable design fee via invoice. You will then receive your customized presentation(s) within 3-4 weeks (depending on travel start date). Once details are agreed upon, you’ll receive either a cc authorization form or new invoice for the travel booking process to begin.

Do you require a minimum budget?

We do not require a minimum budget. However, to give you an idea of fellow travelers who utilize our services, our clients average minimum budget for:

  • A honeymoon – $6500
  • An anniversary – $4000
  • A birthday or just because – $3000
  • A Disney cruise – $6000
  • A Disneyworld or Disneyland trip – $3500

*these minimums are based on 4 day trips and dependent on geographic location, not inclusive of design fee

Will I get my loyalty credits?

It’s likely. If you have a loyalty membership with any hotel chain and/or airline chain, you will receive your points, nights, etc. However, if we mutually decide to utilize a 3rd party booking system for maximum value, you may not receive loyalty credits.

How will charges show up on my statement?

Your design fee will appear as Distinction Travel Services. Your travel bookings will either appear as Distinction Travel Services or as charges from our specific travel partner depending on the vendor. It is likely your bookings will appear separately as opposed to one lump sum. It is also possible that you may be charged either only a portion or not at all for certain hotel stays until check in. You will be provided an itemized receipt for peace of mind.

Can I use points? (ie: hotel award nights, airline points/credits, credit card points)

Yes! Several of our clients have coveted travel credit cards. Utilizing these points may incur a nominal additional fee on your design fee as several of these cards require extensive research to redeem maximum value.

What if I don’t know where I want to go?

You’re in luck! All of our packages include assistance with destination selection. In fact, you’ll be presented with up to 3 destinations to choose from.

Is the design fee higher for larger groups?

Each of our services have a starting rate for predetermined group sizes. Fees may increase depending on destination/region and group size.
